Labor Day has come and gone, and we won’t see another long weekend until Columbus Day next month, which is a bummer. But that’s what vacation days are for, right? If you just need to get away for a couple of days, take a Friday off and hit one of these perfect spots for a Florida getaway.
If you have kids—or even if you don’t, no one’s going to judge—and you have the money, go to Disney World. Where better to destress from work than the happiest place on earth? While you’re in Orlando you can also check out Universal Studios, as well as the fabulous beaches.
Of course, Boca Raton is always a fantastic place to chill for the weekend. Between the private beach, plenty of pools if you’d rather avoid the ocean, the health spa, and tennis and golf, you’ll never be bored at the Boca Raton resort, but you will be relaxed. Orlando has countless resorts and hotels, so if you just want to hang out in a hotel for a few days and get a massage, you should check out this list of getaways in Florida.
If you’re a foodie, visit Miami for the weekend. The restaurant scene there is amazing—the cuisines are diverse and authentic, and there are also tons of great clubs. Miami’s a great place to spend the weekend with friends.
Florida is one of the most attraction-packed places in the US, so no matter what you do on your long weekend, you’re sure to have fun.
Road trips are fun, but they require a lot of planning! You’ll want to have everything ready for an easy and fun road trip. So we’ve got a road trip maintenance checklist for you.
- Change Your Oil
- Unless you’ve just recently gotten it changed, get an oil change right before your trip to start off fresh. Topping it off if it is low is fine, but not when you’re taking on a few hundred or thousand miles.
- Check Your Fluid Levels
Check all of your fluid levels under the hood and top them off if they’re low. This includes:
- Radiator Fluid
- Transmission Fluid
- Power Steering Fluid
- Brake Fluid
- Check Your Hoses
Rubber hoses can get squishy and have cracks if they get hot. Check them for any cracks before you hit the road.
Check on your belts, which can also wear from heat and stress. If you have less than 50,000 miles on your car, you’re probably good.
Make sure your tires have proper PSI and refill them if they’re low. Also check the treadwear to make sure they’re evenly-worn and ready to tackle the open road.
Lincoln is looking to bring its MKZ sedan to a new host of buyers and to do so, the brand has once again enlisted the help of none other than Matthew McConaughey. The actor appears in three new ads that pitch the 2017 Lincoln MKZ to those who may have previously ruled it out. With three new ads on the lineup, the new MKZ answers a very important question.
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering what it’s like to drive the Lincoln MKZ, wonder no more. The new “It’s like that” tagline ends each commercial, accurately named “Shave,” “Ensemble,” and “Midnight.”
The first 30-second ad, “Shave,” relates getting a shave from a barber to getting behind the wheel of the MKZ. The second ad, “Ensemble,” kicks things off with a jazz band before revealing McConaughey behind the wheel of the MKZ. The third and final ad, “Midnight,” shows McConaughey jumping backwards into a pool of water.
The 30-second spots debuted back in May during “The Voice,” “Dancing With the Stars,” and “Castle.” Considering McConaughey doesn’t say a word during any of the ads, the relation to precision, performance, and exhilaration are second to none.
The next question is whether the ads are having any sort of effect on sales. Lincoln sales are up more than 17% through April of this year; you be the judge.
Here at Plaza Lincoln, we have the high-class 2017 MKZ in stock and ready to roll!
Here at Plaza Lincoln, we were so excited when we learned that the Lincoln Continental was making a comeback. No other vehicle quite has the elegance, style, and power of this iconic sedan. Now that we’re just months away from the upcoming Lincoln Continental, we want to share some new details with you.
Take one glance at the new design and you’ll instantly recognize it as a Continental. It exudes athletic grace with sleek lines and an air of confidence like no other car on the road. You might even notice something peculiar about the door handles—there is no hinge. The doors use E-latch handles that have a small button that electronically unlatches with a single touch. With these smooth handles, the Continental’s flowing side lines are unbroken.
Powering the 2017 Continental will be an available twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter GTDI V6. This engine combined with available all-wheel drive and continuously controlled damping will deliver a driving experience that you won’t soon forget.
When you’re driving the 2017 Lincoln Continental, bumper-to-bumper traffic won’t be nearly the hassle it used to be. The available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go will automatically keep pace with nearby traffic and react accordingly.
The 2017 Lincoln Continental will be coming to Plaza Lincoln later this fall. How excited are you for the return of a legend?
A deeply ingrained smell is hard to get rid of, especially if it’s a smell you never wanted in the first place. A horrible stench can significantly hurt the resale value of your vehicle, but fortunately for you, there are ways to remove any unwanted odors. Most methods are relatively simple and cost-effective. Here’s how to remove smells from a car from us here at Plaza Lincoln.
- Coffee Grounds – Good for more than a morning pick-me-up, coffee grounds can also remove unwanted smells from your car. Close the windows and place a bowl of coffee grounds inside the vehicle. Soon enough, your interior will smell of your favorite morning coffee and the unwanted odor will be gone for good.
- Newspaper – Normally meant to be read, physical newspapers are good for more than catching up on the local happenings. As it turns out, they’re very good at eliminating unwanted odors. Simply crumple up a few pages and throw them in your car overnight. By morning, the newspapers will have absorbed the smell and your car will be odorless.
- Charcoal – Excellent for barbequing, charcoal is also a great odor absorber. Leave a bag in the back of your car overnight and the smell will be gone by morning. Best of all, you can still use the charcoal for grilling!
